Architectural accessibility

The University College of Enterprise and Administration in Lublin, st. Bursaki 12, 20-150 Lublin

  1. There are 2 entrances to the building located on the opposite walls of the building: (A) from Związkowa Street and (B) – from Bursaki 12 Street. Stairs lead to both entrances. There is a wheelchair ramp at entrance B.
  2. The car park is located on the side of entrance B, entrance from st. Bursaki.
  3. There are 2 parking spaces for people with disabilities in front of the building.
  4. The building and all its rooms can be entered with an assistance dog and a guide dog.
  5. The reception is to the left of entrance B (near the entrance).
  6. The Admissions Office is located to the right of entrance B (near the entrance). The office is equipped with a service desk for deaf people with the service of Polish sign language online interpreter.
  7. The toilet for people with disabilities is located to the right of entrance B, at the end of the corridor. The toilet on the upper floors (1-2) is located similarly.
  8. The assembly hall is located to the right of entrance B (to the left of entrance A) and is equipped with an induction loop.
  9. The upper floors of the building can be accessed by stairs or a lift.
  10. Communication between the mezzanines in the building is made possible by platforms.
  11. The Office for People with Disabilities (OPD) is located on the second floor – to the right of the elevator exit, at the end of the corridor.
  12. Third floor – to the left of the elevator exit, there is the Rector’s Office with a stand for deaf people, with the service of Polish sign language online interpreter.

Facilities

  1. The building and all its rooms can be entered with an assistance dog and a guide dog.
  2. There are 2 parking spaces for people with disabilities in front of the building.
  3. Entrance from st. Bursaki is equipped with a ramp for wheelchairs.
  4. There is an elevator in the building.
  5. The stairs connecting the corridors are equipped with platforms.
  6. The auditorium is equipped with an induction loop.
  7. The WSPA library is equipped with: a) ViewPlus Emprint SpotDot color touch printer, with the function of printing raised graphics and Braille texts, b) SARA voice-over system designed especially for blind and visually impaired people, allowing for reading printed and digital materials, c) Supernova program magnifying, speaking and arming, d) the Big Keys LX keyboard, recommended for the visually impaired or with paresis of the upper limbs, e) the enlarged Big Track mouse.
  8. The Recruitment Department and the Rector’s Office are equipped with a service station for deaf people, with the service of Polish sign language online interpreter.
  9. The website wspa.pl gives readers the ability to individually adjust contrasts, capitalization or underline links.

Other information and statements

In its current state, in the area of ​​architectural requirements, our university is largely adapted to the needs of people with mobility impairments. After the test with the so called accessibility matrix, areas requiring correction were indicated.

Currently, the university is in the process of preparing full accessibility in terms of the requirements of the Act of 19 July 2019 on ensuring accessibility to people with special needs.
