Acting Dean of the Nursing Department
Specialist nurse in emergency nursing, paramedic, Master of Public Health.
My medical career began with the first profession I acquired – paramedicine, and nursing was the second one I chose, and I never regretted this decision. I completed my Paramedicine studies at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Medical University of Lublin, then obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health, and after that, I completed the Nursing program. I gained professional experience at the Cardiac Surgery Clinic, the Emergency Department, and the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Clinic.
I am a specialist in emergency nursing. Working in departments where quick actions are required (intensive care, high-dependency care), where emergency situations occur (operating room), or where actions need to be performed under time pressure, requiring decision-making, stress resistance, are the environments where I thrive. I really enjoy learning and acquiring new knowledge and skills.
Currently, I work at the Pediatric Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Clinic of the University Children’s Hospital in Lublin, as part of the anesthesiology team. Working with young patients is a huge challenge, but also brings great satisfaction.
Since 2010, I have been a lecturer. I love working with students, and I strive not only to teach the profession but also to inspire – I show various aspects of nursing, guide their development path, and encourage scientific work. I consider my personal teaching success not only the accurate and effective transmission of knowledge but also “instilling” a passion for the profession in the student.
The recent years of working with international students have opened new paths for me in scientific work and deepening knowledge about the nursing profession. I am pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences, and my research focuses on assessing the intercultural competencies of nursing students.
