  • Social Innovations and Interventions +
    Innovations and social interventions are new effective methods of solving social problems. The changing technological and economic possibilities have a big influence on social changes and are a response to such phenomena and processes as changing business models, growing presence of technology in everyday life or reconciliation of work and family life. A social innovator is a new professional profile for creative people who want to search lasting solutions for the future in many areas of social life. Candidates for this specialization are people who are interested in gaining knowledge and skills in the stimulation, development and management of social innovations and who want to strengthen the regional ecosystem of social innovation development aimed at implementation of new ideas and solutions which can reduce social problems. Graduates of our specialization can take up jobs related to consulting, planning and implementation of social change processes in public institutions, non-governmental organizations and business organizations. As an alternative way to start their professional career on the job they can also set up their own businesses related to the design and implementation of social innovations by acting for specific groups and local communities. The study program is a response to the new demands on the job market:
  • Migration Phenomena Analyst +
    Specialization is addressed to people interested in migration policies, recognizing local problems generated by economic migration, building strategies to solve problems on the labor market, social problems connected with parents’ migrations abroad and employment, housing and integration processes related problem. Problems generated by migrations and influx of foreigners are common and make the profession of migration analyst phenomena extremely needed on the labour market. The aim of this specialization is, first and foremost, preparation of skilled professionals who can work in self-governments, social services, schools and non-governmental organizations in the field of solving migration problems on the local level.
  • Social Informatics +
    An interdisciplinary specalization, combining social sciences and humanities with technical knowledge. Social Informatics enables acquiring knowledge, skills and competences in the field of technology and efficient use of it in the social space. Students acquire practical skills in solving complex problems, learn how to design and carry out social research, prepare forecasts using a wide range of IT tools. They obtain practical skills in creating products and solutions that take into account complex social processes and cultural context. We invite graduates of computer science, sociology, management as well as international relations to complete the master's studies within this specialization. The program has been designed for graduates of bachelor’s studies in social sciences, humanities and technical sciences. In addition to hard skills (such as design, computer graphics, data analysis), the student will acquire knowledge based on the sociology of innovation, social communication or neuropsychology. Graduates can find employment in marketing companies or companies conducting social research. An alternative way to start presence on the labor market could be setting up a company related to the design and implementation of web and social applications.
