Dr Jalleh Sharafizad

Dr Jalleh Sharafizad is the Course Coordinator of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and a Senior Lecturer in Business Services at Edith Cowan University’s School of Business and Law. With extensive expertise in entrepreneurship, business development, and innovation, she is recognised as a leading researcher and educator in these fields. Her research has been widely published in prestigious international journals and has received multiple awards, including the University of Antwerp Staff Exchange Erasmus Program Award (2023), the Edith Cowan University Athena SWAN Advancement Scheme Award (2019), and the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Teaching Scholarship at the University College of Enterprise and Administration in Lublin (2025).

Dr Sharafizad has successfully led numerous government- and industry-funded research projects and played a pivotal role in organising major international events, notably serving as Chair of the Networks in Changing Business Ecosystems 3rd International Symposium.

Beyond academia, she is a committed advocate for female entrepreneurship and regional business development. She actively supports business owners by designing training programs, facilitating networking opportunities, and providing expert guidance to start-ups and established enterprises. Her leadership and community impact are also reflected in her tenure as an elected Board Member of the Wanneroo Business Association (2018–2022), where she contributed to enhancing business capabilities in Western Australia.
