If there is no convenient direct flight to Lublin, a good alternative is to fly to Warsaw Chopin Airport, the main international airport in Warsaw. Warsaw and Lublin are well connected by train, coach and private transport.
After arrival, it is useful to have a payment card and a small amount of Polish currency for immediate expenses such as public transport, food or taxi. Currency exchange offices are called “kantor”, but exchange rates may vary, so students should compare rates before exchanging money.
From Warsaw Chopin Airport, you can reach Warsaw city centre by public transport. There are train connections from the airport to central Warsaw railway stations, including Warszawa Śródmieście and Warszawa Centralna. You can also use Warsaw public transport buses, depending on the current route and timetable.
From Warszawa Centralna or another Warsaw railway station, take a train to Lublin Główny. There are regular direct train connections between Warsaw and Lublin. Travel time and ticket prices depend on the type of train, date and time of travel, so it is best to check the current timetable and buy tickets online.

International exchange students from the European Union, European Economic Area or Switzerland should obtain a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) before arriving in Poland. The card allows access to medically necessary public healthcare in Poland under the applicable rules.
Students from outside the EU/EEA should arrange valid health insurance for the entire period of their stay in Poland. In some cases, this may be private insurance or voluntary insurance with the Polish National Health Fund (NFZ).
