The final grade of the studies, present on the MBA postgraduate certificate, is the positive grade from the diploma thesis defense or the final examination, in which cases the result of the studies in the sum of 50% of the arithmetic average of grades from credits and examinations and 50% of the grade from the thesis defense and/or the final examination.

The studies end with the defense of the final project/diploma thesis in an online form.
The defense is in the “learning through sharing” model, i.e. in the form of an open project presentation, conducted before the examination committee and among the seminar group. It is a purposefully designed education method that combines the formal requirements of the final grade with the interactive and communal nature of learning. Each student presents the results of their diploma project – including the management solutions applied, the analysis of the organizational problem and the recommendations developed – in the presence of the other participants of the seminar. The presentation is followed by a session of questions and discussions moderated by the committee and, in some cases, with the participation of fellow members of the group.

Objectives and advantages of the method:

  • Peer learning: students have the opportunity to learn about approaches, tools and perspectives applied in a variety of industries and organizational contexts.
  • Inspiration and exchange of experience: it is conductive to sharing good practices, comparing analytical paths and developing managerial thinking.
  • Development of presentation and discussion skills: an open speech before the group and the committee prepares for the reality of presenting projects before boards, clients or stakeholders.
  • Community building: such a defense strengthens integration and cooperation in the group and allows to look at the learning process as a common experience.

Form and proceedings:

  • Student’s presentation (7 minutes)
  • Questions and comments from the committee (3 minutes)
  • Optional short discussion with participation of the members of the group
  • Summary and grading

This form of the defense captures the spirit of a modern MBA program, where practical knowledge, experience sharing and leadership competencies development are as important as meeting formal examination requirements.
